trict gathered to congratulate them

and Mrs. Dick received a number of

` Mr. Chas. Jinks is having his im-
piement- building on Main street,
which was damaged in the fire last
spring that burned the garage of Mr.
f9rvflle Twitchell and the adjoining
Liock, repaired and reshingled. The
work is being done by Mr. Chas.
Blackwell and Mr. Matthew Tanney.
Bride and Groom Honored

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sheppard, who
were recently married, were honored
Ly the presentation of a handsome
gift on Thursday evening at the home
of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs,
James Smillie, by the Wohelo Class
of the United Church of which the
bride was a member. The evening
was spent in games and contests and
a very dainty lunch served. Miss Mar-
garet Grieve read the address and
the presentation was made by Miss
Gladys Luker.
Fellowship Sunday for the benefit
of the missionary maintenance work
was observed at the United Church
on Sunday when Rev, R. A. Brook de-
livered very fine discourses, The
choir sang two appropriate anthems.
"Hear the. Call Ringing" and "Our Alt
in All," Miss Ruth Brook soloist.
Mr. Jack Taylor had his hand in-
jured when it wan caught in the gear
of a polisher he was operating at
Cook Bros. mill recently.
