best known cinema organists in Lon-

his wife, a Canadian, who has not
been home for 15 years. They hope
to tour the Dominion.
The piano -duo team of Malcolm and
Godden will be heard weekly over
CBO's national network. They are
scheduled to begin a series of special-
ly arranged programmes on Tuesday,
October 10 at 10.45 p.m. from the To=
ronto studios.
Phyllis Marshall, the charming lit-
tle, colo'ed girl, who made her radio
debet as a high school senior at To-
ronto two years ago, has grown into
a lovely young lady and is now fea-
tured in one of the regular weekly
novelty programmes. It 15 her voice

ensemble in "Cameos in Swing," on

dustriously studying dress designing
and hopes to make this her profes-

blues songs subsides, Right now, she
says, she can't imagine when that
will be. But, just in case!
George Young stepped back into
his best-known role, leading the
weekly songfest from Halifax, heard
Wednesdays at 8 p.rn. Last week,
George bad a giant choir made up of
men from the Royal Canadian Regi-
ment. stationed at Halifax. This week
the civilian population tools over the
challenge and on October 11 the navy
will swing into the old refrains with
characteristic gusto. Not since the
days of the last war, when George
took time off from ferrying aero-
planes across the English Channel to
sing with lads at Folkstone, has Are
enjoyed himself so much.
Franit Willis, identified with the
radio service during the dramatic
days of the Moose River Mine dis-
aster, has a second claim to fame in
his long-standing favorite, "Noc-
turne."

edly welcome the announcement that
this poetry period will he heard again,
this time from Toronto, where Mr.

return from Australia. "Nocturne" is

leave Vancouver this month for Mon-
treal to complete his visit to Canada.
With Enid Conley, who is both his
wife and his accompanist, Williams

radio and concert appearances. Enid
Conley, who serves as her husband's
accompanist both at home and on
tour, is considered an outstanding
pianist and arranger in her native
Australia.
