Chick Starter
IMPROVES YOUR FEEDING
PLAN
You remember how most chicks were
raised a few years back when they were
started on oatmeal, cracked wheat, etc. and
were allowed to run with the hen, picking up
various things to eat. Not so to -day when
they are fed scientifically balanced rations,
each ingredient for its purpose.
The Ontario • Agricultural College has
given us their ideas of a good formula. With
our combined efforts and with over 50 years'
experience in selection of feeds in the mill-
ing business
Choiceteria Takes The Lead
Feel the body of this Chick Starter. See the richness of it. Let Mr. Jas. Scott of Scott's
Poultry Farm tell you what the addition of 2% Cereal Grass has done for the thousands
of chicks he has raised this year,

One of Stanley's ,most respected
citizens passed away Monday in her
80Th year, on Monday, May 1st. We
refer to gentile K. McNaughton,
widow of the late John Sparrow,. On
the 4th of May, 57 years ago she
came as a 'bride and had seen many
changes in those years, and few of her
pioneer friends and neighbors of 'her
generation are left to mourn the loss
of a kind friend and good neighbor.
But many of the rising generation
will keep her memory ever green, as
site was well respected by the south
of our land and will be ,greatly noised
in the wide ,circle in which she
moved. The funeral was held Wed.„
May 6th, from 'the United Church,
Varna, and was largely attended. Her
pastor, Rev. Mr. Peters, was in
charge and spoke most fittingly of
the deaecsed, and took for the lessons
Psalm 12'1 Rev. 7, 9417. The text was
Isaiah 30,'35; "In quietness and con-
fidence shall 'be your strength." The
23rd Psalm, her favorite Psalm, was
sung. A duet, '"1 wI1l sing you a song
of that beautiful land," was well ren-
dered by Rev. and Mrs, Peters, Those
left to mourn her loss are three bro-
thers and three sisters. Daniel, of
Kitchener, Mr. and Mrs. George
Foster, of Windsor, Mr. and Mrs.
Edward Foster and Mrs, Stelck of
Varna, Mr. and Mrs. Cameron and
sot. and Miss Lettie Foster of Men-
sal.. Those from a distance attending
