ALERT MISSPON BAND The regular meeting of the Alert Mission Band of 'North Side United Church was held on Tuesday with Janie Moffat presiding. Three of the younger. members sang a Christmas carol. Edna Gallop sang a solo and Betty Tebbut read the Scripture. Mrs Parsons led in prayer. Ronny Knight took alp the collection. There was a girls' chorus, a hymn, and Mrs. Par- sons gave the topic. WALTON The 'regular meeting of Mission Band was held on.Sunday at' 1111 a.m. Thirty-five responded to the roll ,call, Ruth Cummings presided and meet- ing was opened by singing ,"Tell Ale the Story of 'Jesus," Scripture, the Christtnas story. from Matthew, was read by Earl Coutts, 'after which Mrs Kirkby led in prayer, followed by the Lord's prayer in unison. A. Christmas chorus followed and the story of the first Christmas was read, which had 'been written specially for the child- ren. Then a Christmas exercise, taken from December World Friends, was presented by the pupils, entitled, A White Gift Service."
