Spading of New Ham- burg is relieving at the C.N.R. station during the absence oi the agent. Mr. A. L. Case, who is away onthis holi- days. Mr. and Mrs, Ed Fink had a num- ber .of relatives from Hanave visiting with them on Sunday. Miss Mildred Scruton has aesigned her position as 'bookkeeper atralickle's mill, a position that she has success - fatly filled for a number of years. Miss Gladys MCKenzie as at present taking her place. Mr. Mervin Schwalm of Stratford spent a few days here last week visit- ing his parents. Mr, and Mrs. Peter Schwalm. Mrs. j. W. Bonthron has returned to her home here after spending the summer at their summer home at Grand Bend. Norris aleEwen spent a few days in Detroit last week the guest of a newspaper which he delivers. Paterson spent Stinelay visiting with Mn. and Mrs. Errol Drummond at St. Marys. Mr. Drummond is at ,present conduct- ing an antique furniture store at St. Marys. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bowen of Grand Bend spent Sunday here with relatives. Mr. Ian Filshie left for Toronto on Saturday where be will attend Toron- to University. Fire Of unknown origin completely destroyed the large frame shed at the rear af St. Paul's Anglican Church on Friday evening. The fire was noticed about 7 o'clock and the alarm given. The fire department was almost im- mediately on the scene and succeeded in saving the church and other near buildings. There was quite a lot of wood stared in the shed for use at the church a.nd which was all burned. The stabile 'belonging to Mr. Robert Parsons Was badly. scorched. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Scruton and children of Pont 'Dover spent the week en.d here with relatives. Mr.- Albert Passmort of Delhi spent the week end with 'his parents, Mr. ,and Mrs. John Pasemore. Miss Mildred Aubin of Stanley township was visiting friends in town on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. James Dick and son Arthur Dick moved on Tuesday to apartments in the :Murdock Block. 'Quite a number of ladies 'belonging to the missionary society 'of the Unit- ed 'Church attended the Preebyterial leeld'at Thames Road United Church Ore Wednesday last. MT.
