Late Warren Hutchison-
Warren Hutchieon, a life-long resi-
dent of Hibbert township, died at his
home. lot 3, con. 7. 'Hibbert, on Sat-
urday, May 114, after hazing been ill
with pneumonia for ten days. The
late Mr. Hutchison was born in
Pickering, Ontario, on Feb, 15, 186,
a. son of the late Mr. and Mrs,, John
Hutchison. Coming to •Hibbert when
only a small boy he had 'lived and
farmed in that community until the
time of his death. He was a -member
of Munro United Church. On Dec.
30, 1096. he was married to Clara Ann
Young, who survives. with three chil-
dren,
hi:dren, Hubert and Mildred. at home.
and Frank of Hihbert. A third son,
Gordon. lost his life hi 1141e. while
serving in the Great War. The fune-
ral was held an Tuesday to Wood-
land Cemetery. Mitchell.
Buried At Brussels -
The funeral of the late William H.
Arninstrang was held on Saturday af-
ternoon from his late residence when
a large number o: friends and relat-
ives gathered to pay their last res-
pects. Mr. Arreeteene was itt his 75th
year. His wife predeceased him by
nineteen months. He ie survived by
three daughters and four sons -
Martha at ome: Mrs. Walter Mess-
er, Pair Ston , and -Gertrude in
Windsor: Willard at hone; Law-
rence, Henry and Royall of Wind-
sor. The service was conducted at
the home and cemetery by Rev. J. B.
T-wneend of Knox United Church.

Exeter Races June 22nd -
The Exeter race committee have 54
entries in four classes for the stake
races at Exeter Wednesday. Tune 22.
In each of the 12.13 class, the three-
year-old paces three-year-old trot

entered for the tom class. Last year
Sitncoe Harvester, in the t2,3e class,
turned it on at Exeter to the tune of

added 5100 to the parse and have

Attempt Robbery at Willow Grove-
Stacey- Brothers at Willow 'Grove,
a iex miles north of Mitchell, have
been unable to send out their daily
cash payment- owing, to the attempt-
ed robbery p; their office on Friday
night. The money used for paying
the patrons stili in the eafe and
cannot be obtained until it 1- opened.
The eombinatieen was +blot , off the
safe when three men tried to blast
it open but the `last only opened the
outside safe and ,gave warning in a
nearby house. -Police waylaid the men
at Stratford and captured -them. A
gen was found in their car, which
was wrecked. The men are charged
with attempted robbery. .
Paving 8luewater Highway -
;Paving on the Blue Water high-
way, north of Kincardine, has com-
menced for the season, with Brennan
Paving Cgmpany, Hamilton, working
on the contract for the provincial
highways department. Completion. of
paving between Kincardine and Tiv-
erton is being rushedin order that
the company may do work north of
Tiverton to Black's Creek. Totvianel
Paving Company has the contract for
paving south from 1Port Pl;gin to
Black's Creek When this work is
done the highway will he paved franc

trated, on insect, attacking Ontario
vegetables, written by Professor Law-
son Caesar, Provincial Entomologist,
O.A.C., Guelph, is just off the press
and may be obtained free of charge by
writing the Statistics and Publications
Branch, Ontario Dept. of Agriculture,
Toronto.
