The death -occerred at his home -
here early Monday morning of Thom-
as William Parlmer, •a prominent and

highly .respected :Hensall . bnsiness
man, Mr. :Partuter had been in poor
health for about two - year het was
able to attend to his busineas until-

sank, He pased awey on 'Menday,
from a cancer in his. stomach. He was

Hannah Bella Wilson. Mr. and Mrs,
Parliner resided in North 'Dakota for
a time, also at Clinton and Loryles-
boro, but most el their married life
was 'spent in Henaall. For a good
many year Mr. Parltner conducted a
grocery hnSinesa here and -Was very
popular with the public. He later sold
out his 'business arid travelled for a
Brantford hiacnit and candy .firm for
a Couple .of years. Coining hack to
.Hetesall he again started. in the 'groc-
ery .btaainess which he condneted np
until MO year ago when his health
began to fail. He aeenred the con-

Loss of 'Polar lExpedition
:despatch from London, England,
says the death of 'Capt. :Robert F.
Scott and the whole of his parte whO
took part in the South Polar expedi-
tion, is reported from New Zealand.
The steamer Terra Nova, which re-
turned t o INe ve Zealand on Sunday
from the 'Antarctic :Ocean, Obtained
the following in formation : Captain
Scott reached the South 'Pole on the
tfith of ,Tanuary, .1491112. He 'Pound the
tent and records of Captain Ronald
Amundsen. On the return journey the
whole southern party perished. Stott
died at the last camp, from exposure,
during a 'blizzard, about the fe9th of
March, 019111.2, abont 0/515 miles 'from
his main ibase,At the same time there
died Dr. LE. A. 'Wilson and Lieut 1-1.
R. Bowers. Two others died :earlier; '
