A -gloom was cast over this town
on .Saturday morning at the news of
the iKul.den passing of rule of its most
respected and well loved citizens in
tile neron of 31 r, ,Albert 'E. Edier.

miles north of IeImra, the son of
lir. and Mrs. 'John Haller .(nee Mary
Ann Dippel). Re received his educa-
tion' in the Elmira Public School. Alf -
ter leaving "school he 'furthered his ed-
ucation with a mechanical course and
began his :career as machinist in tha
Elmira :Madly. and Transmission Co.
Later he was employed by the Robert
Bell Engine Co. where he remained
until the time of his passing. Albert's
cheerful di,position endeared , hint t6
the hearts 'of all •who knew him and
will be .greatly missed. In the year
1i1119 he was united in marriage to
'Miss R. Nettie Holmes of this town,
who survives 'him with a family of
four, namely, Helen. Margaret, Leon -
ore and John Albert. who 1136,111:n the
loss of a loving husband and kind fa-
ther, There also remain ta I710(111/ the
loss of a loving brother, five sisters,
Caroline and Marie of :Elmira, Vina af
Detroit, Ethel 1 Mrs. H. IR. Rauch)

The funeral was held on Monday to
the ;Maitland Bank Cemetery. Rev,

Gth, when some 35 of their neighbors
and friends sat down to a sumptuous
supper of fish and Chips. The tea

ing in the basement of First Presby-
terian Chur,ch with the president, Miss
Dorothy Smith in the chair. Helen
Smith'offered prayer. 'Minutes and an-

Ilaster. The roll call was answered by
members attaching a star to their

read the 'ABC for 1936 and Helen
Smith read the Scripture lesson.
