On Wednesday afternoon the Lad -
iso' Aid of Taylor's darner, held
their regular meeting •at the home of
Mrs. G. G. Newton. About 20 ladies
were present. Mrs. Calvert, presi-
dent, gave a splendid talk on the
Word "Joy", that being the word
cho'seu for the answer to the roll
call. Miss Nina Walters sang a
solo; business was discussed, some
work was done on a quilt. Rai/. Mr,
Herbert closed the meeting with
prayer after which a wary dainty
lunch was ,served, Mrs. 0. Edwards
and Mrs. A. Sturdy being hostesses.
The next meeting will be held at the
home of Mrs, Hioward. Sturdy.
On Thursday afternoon the Ladies'
Aid of Grace church met in the base-
ment of the church, about twenty-
three ladies being present. The
quilt that was started last day was
finished, It being Grandmother's
Day, the roll callwas answered with
the name of our Grandmother.. Mrs.
M. Lowder, gave a reading entitled
"Grandma." Mr's, R, Mcllwain gave'I
"Grandmother's Wedding Day," both,
these numbers were :appreciated.
Business in ronnection with our an-
niversary was talked over. The meet-
ing was closed with prayer. A very
dainty lunch was ,served. • Mrs. W.
Cox and Mrs, John Blair being hos-
tesses.
Congratulations to our :bride and
groom, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Bodges,
who were married on Sept, 4th.
Visitors at Mr. and Mss. J. S. Lock.
hart's over the week -end were Mr.
and Mrs. John C. McConnell and
daughters, Shirley and Joyce, .also
Mics. 3. H. Corbett, all of Dundalk,
and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Burnside of

our anniversary' service On October
27, .a fowl supper to fallow some time
during the following week.

Business in ronnection with our an-
niversary was talked over. The meet-
ing was closed with prayer. A very
