Mr. and Mrs., Bill Jansen from To
Tonto spent the week -end with Mr,
and Mrs, Durnion Phillip.
Mrs.}Z R. L Woods has returned from
-;a three weeks' . visit with ' her family
in Galt, Dundas and Guelph.
Anniversary services were held in
St. Helens United Church with,Bev.
Mr. Shepherd of Eginondville as guest
;speaker. A large crowd was present.
The morning music was supplied by
St. Helens choir, and the Triple B
Class of Wingham provided the music
in the evening and were much enjoy -
We are sorry to report the death of
one of .our oldest residents at the
home of her daughter, Mrs. John Ben-
nett, on Sunday, October 17th, of
Mrs. Hugh Rutherford, aged 87 years.
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Hunter of Ham-
ilton visited with Mr. and Mrs. Will
Humphrey Jr. recently.
Misses Minnie and Nellie Leather
dale of Morden, Man., were guests of

with Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Purvis,
Mr. and Mrs .Wilson Woods of
Dundas spent the week -end at their
respective homes here.
Mr. Donald Murray, Miss Mary and
Mr. Cliff. Murray attended the fun-
eral of the late Mr. Herbert Fowler
of Seaforth,
This community was shocked to
hear that Mr, Robert Durnion of
Lucknow had passed away very sud-
denly. His sister, Mrs. Hugh Ruth-
erford, passed away a short time ago.
Mrs. Wim Taylor of Blyth visited
with. Mr, and Mrs. Chester Taylor
