HELENS (Too late for last week) Mr. and Mrs., Bill Jansen from To Tonto spent the week -end with Mr, and Mrs, Durnion Phillip. Mrs.}Z R. L Woods has returned from -;a three weeks' . visit with ' her family in Galt, Dundas and Guelph. Anniversary services were held in St. Helens United Church with,Bev. Mr. Shepherd of Eginondville as guest ;speaker. A large crowd was present. The morning music was supplied by St. Helens choir, and the Triple B Class of Wingham provided the music in the evening and were much enjoy - We are sorry to report the death of one of .our oldest residents at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Ben- nett, on Sunday, October 17th, of Mrs. Hugh Rutherford, aged 87 years. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Hunter of Ham- ilton visited with Mr. and Mrs. Will Humphrey Jr. recently. Misses Minnie and Nellie Leather dale of Morden, Man., were guests of n : e and Their uncle, Mr. Jamns i 1 g. with Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Purvis, Mr. and Mrs .Wilson Woods of Dundas spent the week -end at their respective homes here. Mr. Donald Murray, Miss Mary and Mr. Cliff. Murray attended the fun- eral of the late Mr. Herbert Fowler of Seaforth, This community was shocked to hear that Mr, Robert Durnion of Lucknow had passed away very sud- denly.
