of Mrs, Woods.
Mrs. M. Reid attended the Deanery
in London.
The farmers are very busy these
days seeding.

was held at •the home of Mrs. Chas.
Williams. There were twenty-five
ladies present,' The program corn-
mittee, Mrs, F. Jones and Miss M.
Biggins had a very interesting pro-

in New York.
Miss Ruth Higgins and her mother,
Mrs. B. R. Higgins came up from
Whitby over the week -end. Mrs.
Higgins is remaining in her home
for the summer months.
Miss Margaret Johnston and Mr,
Lampkin of Drayton were Sunday
visitors with Mn and Mrs. E. W.
Morrison, and on their return home
were accompanied by Mrs. John-
ston, ' who has spent two weeks
with her sister, Mrs. E. Morrison.
Miss Violet Morrison of Toronto

Miss Morrison has taken a course
of study at the Mildmay Institute,
Toronto, during the winter and the
two young ladies; are going to con-
duct a Sunday, School ori ,wheels
through the northern; part •f Sas-
katchewan,, north and east of Sas-
katoon during the summer months.

London, visited with Mrs. M. Arm-
strong on Sunday.

cy Yungblut were at Mildmay on
Sunday on account of the death of
Mrs. Schultz, brother-in-law, John
Smith, who will be remembered by
many of the older residents here, hav-
ing left here some, fifty-two years
ago.
Mrs. Zeller and daughter of Kit-
chener and Mr. and Mrs. Will Govier
of Westfield, spent Sunday with Mrs.
H. Govier.
Joseph and Gormley Thompson who
were called here on account of the
serious illness of their father, W. J.
Thompson, have returned to their
homes at Delhi and Timmins.
The May meeting of Auburn Uni-
ted church W. M. S. was held on Tues-
day afternoon at the church with
Miss Margaret King in charge.
The regular meeting of. Knox Uni-
ted Y. P. U. was held on Tuesday
night with Alden Hasty in charge.
Levi Greenlay Marwood observed
his 73rd birthday recently.
Wednesday was the first day of
early closing here.
Representatives met in Knox Pres-
byterian church from the four point
charge of Belgrave, Blyth, Carlow
and Auburn with the object of choos-
ing a minister. It was decided to hear
more candidiates.
_The meeting of the Baptist. Ladies
Aid was held on Thursday at the
home of 'Mrs. John Raithby with Mrs,
C. A. Howson presiding.
A fine deer was seen on the 13th
this past week.
