Joseph and Gormley Thompson who were called here on account of the serious illness of their father, W. J. Thompson, have returned to their homes at Delhi and Timmins. The May meeting of Auburn Uni- ted church W. M. S. was held on Tues- day afternoon at the church with Miss Margaret King in charge. The regular meeting of. Knox Uni- ted Y. P. U. was held on Tuesday night with Alden Hasty in charge. Levi Greenlay Marwood observed his 73rd birthday recently. Wednesday was the first day of early closing here. Representatives met in Knox Pres- byterian church from the four point charge of Belgrave, Blyth, Carlow and Auburn with the object of choos- ing a minister. It was decided to hear more candidiates. _The meeting of the Baptist. Ladies Aid was held on Thursday at the home of 'Mrs. John Raithby with Mrs, C. A. Howson presiding.
