Hospital, Seaforth. The young pian
was walking to his home in St. Col-
umban when he was believed to have
been struck by a truck traveling east,
He was found by the roadside, about
two miles west of St.. Columban, by
Ross Chapman of Kippen, and George
Coleman of E'gmonciv,ille, and was
taken to the Seaforth hospital where
he died of the injuries.He is• said
to have suffered a fractured pelvis
and severe head injuries.
The young man was a son of Mr.
and Mrs. John Holland of St. Col-
umban. Besides his parents, he is
survived) by four brothers and six
sisters. They are John, a member of
the Royal Canadian Engineers at
London; Kale of Windsor; Conrad at
home, and Stephenat home; Loretta
of Waterloo; Gloria, Joan, Leona,
Lenore and Mary, all at home.
Holland was well Irnown in the.
district as a football , and hockey
player. He had played soccer with
St. Columban and hockey with the
Dublin teams.
Scene of the fatality was within
a few yards of the spot where two
men had met death in traffic ac-
cidents within the past year.

SHOOTING ACCIDENT
Charles Fritz, business man of
Zurich, while duck shooting in comp-
any with William 0 Brien, also of
Zurich, was injured when the gun
which he was carrying was aecident-
aIly discharged. The accident took
place at Bale d'Or Bay, about 17
miles from Kincardine. Both men
were walking in shallow water and
about to climb into the boat when
Mr. Fritz' gun acidentally went off
and ,the shot entered his body just
above his left hip.
Mr. O'Brien removed him to tr.,
Kincardine Hospital where he will re-
main for a few days and then will
be removed to Victoria Hospital, at
London, for further treatment,
