Miss Dorothy Swan of Toronto vis- ited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. Swan over the holiday, Messrs Ross Scott, Wm. Scott and H, Dalrymple aro attending the Sunoco Convention in Toronto: Mrs. George Swan of Inwood has been visiting Mr. and Mrs. R. Daw- son. Mr. and Mrs. Win, McQueen and daughter, Sheila of Toronto spent Good Friday at the home of the form- er's mother, Mrs. James McQueen. MRS. BERT McKAY' The death occurred on Saturday evening, April llth of Catherine, wife of Bert McKay in her 43rd year, fol- lowing a Iong and painful illness which she bare with great patience and fortitude. She was the youngest daughter of the late Mi. and Mrs. John Moffatt, and was born on the Moffatt home- stead, London Road, where she lived until her marriage in 1917. The deceased woman was a member of Brucefield United Church and an adteie' ' waiter 'in all organizations, being President of the W. A. for two years, and will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends and relatives, Surviving are her husband and four sisters: Mrs. Dhn Kilypatricld'„ Lee- dale, Alta.; Mrs. Andrew McCartney, Muxford; Mrs, John McBeath and Mrs. John Armstrong Of Stanley township, and two brothers, Laur- ence of Regina; and Alfred of Lon- don Road, Tuckersmith. The large crowd which attended the funeral which wets held frons. the United Church, Brucefield, Monday afternoon testified ,in no small measure to the. esteem 'in which Mrs. McKay was held in the community. Floral tribu- tes were many and • beautiful. Pall- bearers were Alton Johnston, H. F. Berry, Jarvis Horton, T. B. Baird, Walter Moffatt, Abe Zapfe. The flower bearers were nephews: Alex McBeath, Mac and W. D. Wilson, Eldred and Gerald Moffatt, Allan, Kenneth, Leslie and Lloyd Arm- strong. Those attending the funeral from a distance were..
