in the community recently.
The W.M.S. met at the parsonage
an Tuesday, March 14th with Mrs.
Walter presiding. After the opening
'hymn Mrs. Cox read the Scripture
lesson, Mrs. Walter gave a Mission-
ary talk' after which Mrs, E. Potter
rendered a very sweet solo: Readings
were given by Mrs. D. Glidden, Mrs.
iJ. B. MacMath and Mrs. H. J. Tre-
i artha. on Christian Stewardship.
Prayer by Mrs. W. Yeo and Rev.
Wilding, after the closing hymn the
president, of the W.A. took the chair.
Final arrangements were made for
the concert to be held the following
night.
The annual concert of the W. A.
was held in the basement o f . the
church on Wednesday evening, March
15th with a large attendance. Not-
withstanding the epidemic of flue
that is so prevalent. The first part

Miss Larene Langford of Detroit,
spent the weekend with her par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Langford,

Mr. Ross Johnston of Zurich, corn
borer inspector for Huron County
was in this jdistricy on Tuesday
on his official duties.
Dr. D. G. Geddes of New Liskeard
was in town last weekend. and it
is reported he may return to
Clinton to resume practice.
Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Castle of Mt.
Forest, bride and groom of last
week, visited the former's parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Castle.
Mr. Guy Hicks has returned to
Clinton after iipending the past
few months with his daughter,
Mrs. Oliver Welsh, Goderich town-
ship.
Miss Margaret Sparling left on Sat-
urday for Winnipeg where she will
make an extended visit with her
aunt, Mrs. S. C. Guest, and also
attend the Music Festival now in
progress in that city.
Mr. J. P. Sheppard and Wynn have
returned to Clinton after spending
the past few months 'at Mobile,
Alabama. Although both enjoyed
their visit there they are glad to
be back with Clinton, friends again

readings followed by a humorous
play entitled "No Men Admitted".
The audience enjoyed many good
laughs during the evening.
Several of our hockey fans attend-
ed the hockey game in Woodstock
last Friday night.
Mrs. Lorne Jervis has been on the
sick list.
The regular meeting of the Young
People's Union held on Friday even-
ing was in charge of Edna Huller.
The meeting opened with the hymn,
"God send us men". Mr. Wilding.
then led in prayer. The scripture
lesson was read by Olit a Mair after
which the hymn "Fight the good
fight" was sung. An instrumental
was then played by Muriel Miller and
the topic on Christian •Citizenship
was given by Edna Huller. Aline
Trewartha ' gave a reading and the
meeting closed by singing the hymn
"Stand up, Stand"up for Jesus" and.
all repeated the 'benediction.
