The annual congregational meeting
of Ebepezer United Church was held
on^January 13th, when reports were
received, from the Sunday School, Of-
fncidl Board; 'tlie"W. A: 'Missionary
and Maintenance. Mr. Irwin Tebbutt
was. reappointed a member of the ses-
sion and Mr. D. Reuger was reap-
pointed member of the Board of Stew-
ards. Election of officers for Sun-
day School was as follows: Superin-
tendant, Carman Tebbutt; assistant,
Fred Lobb? secretary -treasurer, Ira
Merrill; Bible Class •teacher, Irvin
Tebbutt, assistant, Rev.; Wilding; In-
termediate class, Mrs. Ira Merrill; As-
sistant, Mrs. Harold' Lobb; Infant
class, Mrs. Carman Tebbutt, assist -
.ant, 'Miss Joy Lobb; organist,, church
and Sunday. School, Irvin Tebbutt;
-assistant, Elmer Merrill.
of Auburn, youngest son of Mr. and
Mrs, Samuel Daer of Auburn. The
bride looked lovely in a gown of royal
blue chiffon velvet with matching ac-
cessories. The matron of honor was
the groom's only sister, Mrs. Andrew
Kirkconnell of McNaught, who chose
navy blue figured crepe with acces-
sories to match. The groom was sup-
ported by his uncle, Mr. J. J. Tuber-
ville, of Auburn. A dainty wedding
luncheon was served at the hone of
the bridegroom's Barents, after which
Mr. and Mrs. Daer left by motor for
a wedding trip to London, Hamilton,
and other points. The bride chose for
travelling a black silk crepe dress
i with white trimmings and accessories
to match. On their return Mr. and
Mrs. Daer will reside on the groom's
farm east of Auburn.
LONDESBORO
Mr, and Mrs. Milton nooper and
Gladwyn of St. Marys visited with
Mr. and Mrs. James Elsley last, week.
Mrs. Hugh ••Chesney and two child-
ren spentseveral days with her sist-
er, Mrs. J. P. Manning, returning to
her home ori Sunday,
Mr. W. E. Manning "returned from
the Clinton hospital ons Saturday last
where he underwent operations for
tonsils and hernia. Ile is gaining in
strength daily,_

are having a concert in the Commun-
ity hall on the 27th of January. Rev.
Menzies will also give a travel talk
showing many slides.
-Mr. and Mrs. Win. Lyon -are both
laid, up with a severe cold, • Mr. Lyon
being in bed for the past week.

The regular meeting of the Wom-
en's- Missionary Society was held in
the 'basement of the church with the
new president, Mrs. I., Pe Manning in
charge. The meeting opened with a
worship period conducted by Mrs.
Manning and prayer in unison. Mi n-

visits. - The roll call for February
• is to be' answered With a verse con-
taining the word "seek."- Annual re-
ports from the' secretaries and lead-

ducted the installation of the new
officers. The theme of the meeting
was "Christ has no hands but our
hands.". The study book period was
conducted by Mrs. W. Lyon under the
heading, "The Church reaches out."
Bible readings were given by Mrs,
F: Hall and several members offered
sentence. prayers. The attendance at
the meeting was thirty-nine,
