The Ladies Aid of the. Baptist
-Church suet on Thursday. afternoon

•opening exercises were taken by Mrs.
E. Robertson. and Mrs. Earl Raithby.

`Webster. Mrs. Wm, Haggitt favor-
' ed with a solo. The topic was given
by Mrs. Annie Wainer, and this was
prepared by Miss Margaret .Small, a
former resident of this village, but

• topic was "To -day." Miss E. Elkin
dismissed' the meeting with prayer.

School Suffers in Storm
Dining the severe electrical storm
Imre Wednesday evening the belfry
CM the Continuation School was
struck, taking a line of shingles off
down one side. The shingles flew a
distance of 25 feet. Several trees
'were uprooted and as a result the
'County road reading to Clinton was
'blocked, 1.' 1 '
