M. Will Townsend of Souris, Man.,
who •has been ill in the hospital there,
has so far recovered to be able to re -
turn to her home. Mrs. Townsend is
a former Clinton girl, while Mr.
Townsend is a brother of Mr. R.
Townsend and Mrs. F. Wood of our
village.
Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Thompson and
Fraser were renewing acquaintances
in Hespeler on Sunday. They were
accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. P. Man -
ning and Phyllis.

of Brampton, were weekend visit-

Mr. and Mrs. Arthtu Barclay, who
were united in marriage at Allen -
ford on Saturday,, are guests' of
Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Aiken. Mr.
Willard Aiken was a :guest at the
wedding.
Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Hawkins, Hugh,
and Mrs. Hugh Miller motored to
London on Tuesday to meet Mrs.
Miller's son, John, who is,employed
with the Grand National Films and
is being transferred from New
York to Hollywood.
Mrs. Laidlaw, Effie and Roberta at-
tended the graduation in Guelph on
Friday, it being the Golden Jubilee
of the Guelph General Hospital.
Mrs. Laidlaw remained over the
week -end to attend other social
functions which were held for the
graduates and their friends.
