Clarence Green, in Teeswater. Miss Doris Nickle leaves this week for Stratford, where she will enter as a nurse -in -training in the Strat- ford Hospital. . Mrs. David Johnston of Drayton, who has been the guest of her sister, Mrs, E. W. Morrison, for the past three weeks, returned oto her home on Wednesday. Holmesville Cheese Factory Has Successful Year During 1937 the Holmesville cheese factory handled 2,964,780 pounds of milk with a butterfat content of 103,- 843.57 pounds from which 271,247 pounds of cheese were manufactured, The average price per 100 lbs. of milk was $1.21, butterfat .31c per pound. The cheese manufactured graded exceptionally well. Out of 2,484 box- es graded, 99.4 graded No. 1 and only .6 graded No. 2, The average score for all cheese 'graded was 92,066. Cheese manufactured in Huron County during the past year has,been of very good Quality. 4,685 boxes were graded, scoring 98.53 No. 1, 1.43 No. 2 and 0.04 Na. 3, with an average score for all cheese graded of 92.063. The statement for the province re- veals that 1,000,051 boxes were grad- ed, of which 95,44 graded No. 1. The average score obtained for the pro- vince was 92.238 points. The total number of boxes graded for all Canada was 1,360,111 boxes, These graded No. 1, 93.05; No. 2, 6.68; No. 3, 0.21, no scare 0.06. Average score covering all cheese graded, 92. 053. From the above figures it would appear that the manufacture of Can- adian cheese is in a flourishing con- dition, and that the product manu- factured is of a high quality.
