Miss Dorothy Corless was in atten-
dance last week at the Huron -Perth
Presbytery Winter Training school
in the United Church, Mitchell.
Mrs. Washington, Mr, Walter Wash-
ington and Mrs. O. E. Erratt, Au -
bairn visited Mr. and Mrs. T. R.
Jenkins, at Woodlands Patin, on
Sunday.
Miss Queenie Clark of London has
been visiting Mr. and Mrs. W. T.
Hawkins this past week. Miss
Clark sang a solo in St. Paul's
Church at the Sunday evening ser-
vice.
Rev. IC. and Mrs. McGoon were in
Seaforth on Wednesday, attending
the induction services of Rev. Mr.
Hurford in St. Thomas Church, As
Rural Dean of Huron, Rev. Mr. Mc-
Goon had charge of the Church.
Mrs. Joe Wilson left last Friday for
Concordia, Mnss., , being called
hone by the death of her father.
Mr,and Mrs. Wilson had only re-
cently returned from London, whero
they had been visiting for several
weeks.
Mr. Kenneth Ingham of Stratford,
premier of the 17th Older Boys'
Parliament, was overnight guest of
Alvin Corless last Thursday, Mr.
Ingham was the speaker at the
Father and Son Banquet last Thurs-
day evening.
Norvel Station have been here.
Quite a number attended the dance
at Elliott Harrison's on Friday night.
Congratulation to Mr. Wilmer
Harrison and bride who were married
Saturday. We welcome Mrs. Harri-
son to our community, and wish for
both a very happy life.
Mr. Pete Young continues about
the same. We trust the Spring sun-
shine that is just around the corner
will help him back to health.
HOLMESVILLE
Mr. John Potter underwent a. ser-
ious operation in Clinton Hospital on
Tuesday. His many friends wish him
a speedy and successful recovery.
The Y.P.U. meeting of February
18th was in charge of Bill Herbert.
After the opening hymn and prayer,
Mr. Herbert gave an interesting talk
on the medical achievements of the
League of Nation. The scripture
was read by Harold Yeo, Frank Yea
gave the topic for the evening on the
word of Lord Shafteabtuy, An ar-
ticle on "Patriotism" was contributed
by Grace MacMath, During the busi-
tress discussion it was decided to
withdraw the meeting next week. The
first Friday in March we hope for a
visit from the Y.P.U. of Union„ Alma
Trewartha favoured the meeting with
a solo "Alone." After this Bill Nor-
man gave a reading entitled "For
Us." The meeting closed with a
hymn and the Mizpah Benediction.
