SNELL REUNION
The tenth annual reunion of the
Snell family and family connections
was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Edward Yungblut, Htrllett• Township.
near Londesboro; Upward of 100 at-
tended.
Rev. Harold Snell, president of the
association was unable to attend ow
ing to ilhtess in the family and in his
absence Humphrey. Grey, Benton Har-
bone, Mich., was master of mamm-
ies', The afternoon was spent in
games.
The election of offices resulted:
President, Rev. Harold Snell, Ethel;
vice-president, Humphrey Grey; sec-
retary, Mrs. Robert Welsh. The place
of meeting for 1942 reunion will be
at the Bonne of Mrs. E. Woods near
Bayfield on the last Saturday in June.
STIRLING RI6UNION
One of the largest gatherings held
in Harbour Park, Goderick, Sate
ru+day, June 21, was that of bhe Stir --
lug family, numberingabout 180.
Proceedings began with dinner at
one o'clock. A minutes's enema was
observed in memory of those who had
passed away since last year's reunion.
A letter was read by Miss Maud
Stirling from a relative in Scotland
which told of war condition e there..
Tomatoes; the 'writer said, were $2
to $3 a pound; eggs, 60 to 75c a
dozen; • a pound of butter was sup-
posed to do a person eight weeks.

cardine sang a solo, President Don-'
aka Mackenzie presided over these
proceedings and the election of of-
ficers for the reunion of 1942, which
resulted as follows: presiclent, James
Stirling, Goderich township; secre-
tary -treasurer, Mrs. P. Warner, Gocle
erich; sports committee, Albert Har-
den. and Miss Mary Stirling of God-
erich township; Miss Ina Campbell of
JLucknow, and William Stirling of
Gaderich township reception com-
mittee, Mrs. William Strachan,. of
Goderich, James Stirling of Goderich
township, and Miss• Josie Stirling of
Bayfield.
A quilt made by Mrs, Chrales Mc-
Phail, 'Ilolmesville was the prize in
a draw' winch was won .by Mrs, Percy.
Warner. The tickets sold realized
about $10 which will be contributed
to the British War Victims Fund. A.
collection was taken to send a box to
relatives in Seotlancl, and amounted
to $5.32.

The Carter reunion picnic was held
at the home 'of Mr. and Mrs. John
Nott,..Egrinondville on Tuesday, July
1st, with an attendance:' of 40•,mern-
bers. The president, Mr. Fred 'Shah -
brook called the gathering to order
and after extending a vote of thanks
to Mr. and Mrs. Nott for their kind-,
nese, the- business• meeting was cons

Judging Competition
For Huron Junior Farmers, July 8th
Arrangements have been made for
the Annual Livestock Judging Cone -
petition open to al farmer's sons in
Huron County, to be held in the Cline
ton district on. Tuesday, July 8th.
Two classes of the following live-
stock evil be judged: Heavy Horses,
Beef cattle, Dairy cattle, Sheep and
Swine,
The prize money for the event lies
been donated by the Huron. 'County
Council through ,the Junior Extension.
