Maelraye united in marriage Ada Valles Orad, clock, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. John Craddock. Bayfield road, and James Andrew Mair, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Mair, Clinton.' The bride wore gaiety blue sheer, with white accessories, and a corsage of roses and lily -of -the -valley. She was at,. tended by Miss Helen AIien, who wore a pink sheer frock with white accessories. Mr. Harold Johnston of Goderichtownship was groomsman After the ,ceremony a luncheon was served at the Blue Birch tea shop Blue Water Beach. The tea shop was decorated with white lilacs and pink tulips, the table with lily -of -the -val- ley and pink tulips. Friends of the bride, Misses Evelyn Prouse and Ev- elyn Wilson, assisted with the serving of the guests. Present were friends and relatives from Clinton, Sarnia, Toronto and Humber Bay. Rev A. J. Mach{aye proposed the toast to the • bride. and the groom responded fit- tingly. After the luncheon, .111r. and Mrs. Mair left on a motor trip to Hamilton, Nagana Falls and Toronto, the bride wearing a smartly tailored suit of grey glen ,cheek with rose ac- cessories. Mitten has returned home after spending several weeks in Windsor and Hastings, Michigan. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Leonard left last Saturday for Delhi for a visit with Mrs. Geo. Crooks. Mrs. Leonard will remain for several weeks. Mr, Rufus R. Andrews and daughter left for their home in Alison, Ohio, on Monday after visiting his sister Mrs. B. J. Gibbings for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. John Wallis and Mr. Reg Wallis of Rudyard, Mich., visit- ed the foratmer's brother, Mr. C. J. Wallis last weekend. Epps, King street, was the scene of a family gathering on Sunday, the occasion being the forty-fourth an- niversary of their wedding day. The marriage took place in London, Ont., and was .solemnized by Rev. Ira Smith of the Baptist denomination, E. H. Epps was a blacksmith by trade and they lived for the first five years - of their married life; in Aylmer. then for thirty-two years at Varna, where Mr. Epps carried on a blacksmithing business, and in 1918 began to . op- erate a motor transport business. Eight years • ago theymoved to Clinton and have carried on the .busin esis.'here more extensively until a month or more ago, when they sold out, Mr. Epps is now living retired,. The family consists of three sons Clifford and Elwood of Clinton and Lorne of London, and one daughter, Mrs. Melvin Clark of Seaforth. They have seven grandchildren and it was a pleasing part .of the anniversary ceremonies on Sunday when five of the grandchildren were baptized at the home by Rev. Andrew Lane. B.A., B.D., pastor of Wesley -Willis United church. The sons and their wives, daughter and her husband and all the grandchildren were present for the fainly gathering. GODERICH TOWNSHIP Miss Edith Middleton and Mr. Eric Gowan spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. John Middleton. Mr. and Mrs. N. W. Mackay of God- erich, Mrs, Bert Middleton and Mas- ter Danny of Niagara ' Falls spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. John Mid- dleton. Mrs'. James Johnston is visiting her brother, Mr. D. H, McNaughton, of Bayfield. The South End Red Cross Unit will meet on Wednesday afternoon, June lith. at the home of Mrs. Ben Rath - well. Please come equipped to sew and quilt.
