presided at a meeting of junior far-
mers in the township hall, Varna,
held for the purpose of forming a
Junior Farmers' Association: Agri-
cultural Representative J. C. Shearer
was present and outlined the benefits
to be def ived from the organization
and read the proposed constitution.
A motion by William Reid. and D.
McEwen, that the young hien of
Varna and vicinity form a Junior
Farmers' Association Was discussed
and was carried unanimously, The
constitution as read was amended
slightly and William Reid and Roy
Elliott moved its adoption. A reso-
lution to turn over to the associa-
tion just formed the balance of the
funds left over from the Short

The motion was presented by Barry
Reid and A. Keys and was carried
unanimously. The election of officers
was then held and they are: Honor-
ary president, Reeve Fred Watson
and A. Beattie; president, William
