SUPPER -RALLY
One of the outstanding events in
the Huron Presbyterial of the Wom-
en's Missionary Society is the annual
Supper - Rally of members of the
Evening Auxiliaries affiliated 0, G.
I. T. groups and Mission Circles. This
was held this year in Hensall United
Church on Friday, October i8th 'with
the splendid attendance of over one
hundred and thirty. Miss Clare Mc-
Gowan, Blyth, Mission Circle Secre-
tary, was in charge of the program
which was begun by a song service.

A reception was held at the home
of Mrs. Benj. Snell on Tuesday even-
ing for the newlyweds, her nephew
and his bride, Mr. and Mrs. John
Nottingham (nee Miss Warena Oliver
of Lechler, B.C.), recently of British
Columbia. The friends and neighbors
gathered to welcome them to our
community. Rev. A. E, Menzies was
the chairman for the evening's pro-
'gram. Those taking part; Mrs. Rob-
ert Grimoldby, a solo; readings by
Mrs. E. Adams and Mrs. Grimoldby;
guitar selection by Mrs. Menzies;
duet by Helen and Edith Britton, The
address was read by Miss Helen Brit-
ton and the presentation of a beauti-
ful trilite floor lamp made by Alvin
Dodds and Wilbur Jewitt•. The dining
room table was centred with the
bride's cake and decorated with tall
pink candles and bouquets of pink
carnations and ferns, A clainty lunch
was provided by the ladies. The bride
served the wedding cake. The guests
departed giving the bride and groom
their best wishes.
Qniite a number from this vicinity
attended the Provinical Plowing
Match at St. Thomas last week.
We are glad to report Mr. Fred
Riley returned to his duties in Sea -
forth, after being under the doctor's
care for the past three weeks, with
a very sore hand.
Mr. Milton' Moore of Kingston is
spending a few days with his brother,
William Moore, he also spent last,
week visiting in Toronto and Mont -
reel.
Rev. and Mrs. Clifford Britton and
family of Inwood spent the weekend
with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Brit-
ton.
Miss Edna Dayman of Kippen spent
a week visting with her aunt, Mrs.
