Finished. articles were brought in and two quilts quilted, Planes were made for, a social evening to be held at the home of Mrs, W. Churchill on Friday evening this week RED CROSS NOTES The members of the Executive of the Red Cross met at the honeof the president, Mrs. E. G. Thompson on Tuesday afternoon. The purpose of the meeting was to plan ways and means of snaking the general meet- ings more interesting and productive, There will not be a meeting on Monday, April 29th, but everyone is asked to attend on Monday, May Oth, and come prepared to sew, bring needle, thimble and scissors. Those, who do not sew are asked to bring their knitting. Members of the Ex- ecutive are serving a 5 cent tea dur- ing the afternoon. There will be one general meeting a month, on the first Monday after- noon. Shipments of supplies to Tor- onto will be made on the regular schedule. Knitted goods will be re- ceived and wool given out on this Monday, and on Fridays, and S'atur- days as usual Wool will be given out on alternate Mondays, when the knitting committee meets to inspect and arrange the goods for shipment. Donation of a one or two -plate elec- tric stove and an electric iron to the Red Cross, would be gratefully ac- cepted. Please remember the change of date for the meeting. It is on Mon- day, May 6th at 2.30 in: the Council Chamber.
