number. Simply guess the number under this seal and submit your answer on a
regular entry form which you can get from our store. There is nothing to buy.
Just go to our Bedding Department and ask for an entry blank. Only one entry
accepted front each person. All entry forms must be in by April 27th, and winners
will be announced in our window the following week.

The W.M.S. of the United Church
held their April meeting on Thurs-
day last, with the President, Ms. J.
P. Manning' presiding. Meeting open-
ed by singing a hymn and prayer by
Mrs. Manning. Minutes and corres-
pondence read by Mrs. E. Wood. The
Spring thankofferiug meeting which
was postponed from an earlier date
will take place on Sunday morning,
April 28th, Mrs, Murray of Clintons
will give an address an her work
amongst the New Canadians of New
Ontario, Mrs. Frank Tamblyn and
Mrs. E. Wood were appointed as dele-
gates to attend the Presbyterial to
be held at Seaforth an April 23rd.
Roll call was answered by a verse
containing the word "Work." The
next roll call to be "sing", This con-
cluded the business. The meeting was
then taken over by Miss B. Kirk,
leader of group No. 1, A hymn was
sung and Mrs. W. T. Brunsdon read
the Bible lesson followed by prayer
by Mrs. W. Lyon. Mrs, A. Webster
and Mrs. J. Armstrong gave short
Easter readings and Mrs. Menzies
contributed a solo. Mrs. L. McNall
gave a reading on temperanoe, the
IV Chapter in the Study Book, was
dramatized by Mrs. Margaret Man-
ning, Miss Kirk and Mrs, J. P. Man-
ning. Meeting closed by singing a
hymn and prayer by Miss Birk.
Mr. Fred Sprung who has been
spending the winter with his uncle,
Mr, Fred Shobbrook and other friends
returned to his home in Manitoba
last week.
Mr. and Mrs. James Elsley who
spent the past 2 months at the home
of Mr. Frank Campbell, Westfield,
returned to their home hese on Fri-
day last.
Mrs. J. Tamblyn who spent the
winter with bar son, W. J. Tarnblyn,
Toronto, returned home on Sunday
last.
The Londesboro Red Cross are now
baying their own charter and are 110
longer affiliated with the Clinton Red
Cross. The Community Hall Board
have recen:tiy donated the Red Gross
$60.00. Anyone wishing more tickets
to sell on the quilt which was re-
cently donated by Mrs. R, Fairservice
to the Red Cross may obtain more
irons Mrs. B. Brunsdon, and any who
have sold their package please send
in the stubs as soon as possible to
Mrs, B. Brunsdon. The lucky draw
on quilt will be at the National Con-
cert on April 24th.
Mrs. James Howatt who has been
several weeks at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. J. P. Manning, re-
turned to her home in Auburn on
Tuesday of this week.
Mr. Fred Prest is busily engaged
decorating in the village and com-
munity.

be, must either be ploughed under
completely or else gathered and burn-
ed before May 20th., and that failure

cost of sending men into do the work.
