IVIiss Isabel Holmes, has returned .to
resume nursing duties at Victoria
Hospital, London, after spending
several weeks at her home.
Mr. Frank Longman of Hallett, and
Mrs. George Stevens of town were
in London on Friday attending the
funeral of their brother,, the late
William Longman who died sudden-
ly of a heart attack on Wednesday
morning.
Miss Edith Leppington spent the
Easter vacation with London and
Zurich, 'friends. Mr. and Mrs. Lie -
hold of Zurich accompanied her
home to spend the weekend with
the latter's parents, Mr, and Mrs.
Thos. Leppington.

Last Monday evening the members
of Ontario Street Y.P.U. had as their
'guests the young people of Victoria
street church, Goderich. The visitors
supplied a splendid programme which
included violin trio numbers. Miss
Willa Jervis was in charge. Fol-
lowing the devotional period a social
time was enjoyed. In recognition of
his untiring efforts in the work of
the society during his residence here,
Kenneth Reid was presented with a
lovely Bible. Kenneth is a past presi-
dent of the Union and he was always
an energetic leader.

The. W.A. of Ebenezer Church met
at the horse of Mrs. Ira. Merrill last
Thursday. After roll call scripture
and prayer was offered by Rev. Wild-
ing who also gave a short talk on
"Aids to Health." A solo was given:
by Miss Beth Hayden; Easter read-
ings by Mrs. J. Tebbutt, Mrs. Bigg'fii„
Mrs. Merrill and. Mrs. Bert Lobb.
Misses Bernice_ and Grace Lobb con-
tributed a pleasing duet. The meet-
ing was closed with, prayer by Mrs.
Bert Lobb and the Mispah benedic-
tion. Lunch was served at the close.
S. S. No. 4 Unit of the Red Gross
Society held a community box social.
at the home of Mr. Ambrose Gamble,
last Friday evening. The evening
was enjoyably spent in music, games
and dancing.
Mrs. Charles Williams spent the
past week with her daughter, Mrs.
J. Keen, Stratford.
