There is no ration on good
wishes so may you live as
long as you like and have
what you like as long as you
live. May peace prevail and
that which was unprofitable
and unpleasant during 1942
disappear and, may good for-
tune, good health and con-
tentment be your compan-
ions for 1943. We recognize,
appreciate and acknowledge
your favours during the
past year. Unfortunately
war conditions restricted
to some degree our normal
supply of goods and service
to you. To date we have no
substantial reason for an-,
ticipating improvement dur-
ing '43. In that period of
time let us be energetic in
doing what we can to com-'
plete lasting victory that we
may keep secure our liberty
and freedom for the world,

An Appeal to Huron County Farmers
Food is an important weapon of war. More
bacon is wanted in Great Britain and Canada in 1943.
Huron is one of the important swine producing
counties as proved by the following figures: -
Number of Hogs Marketed in 1941 125,000
Number of Hogs Marketed Jan. 1st to •
Oct. 31, 1942 , 102,000
(Note 10 Months Only)
Objective for 1943 150,000
The Increase can be Brought about by
,(a) Reducing the mortality in young pigs.
(b) By breeding an extra sow on each farm.
Your co-operation is solicited. For information
on swine diseases, feeding practices, sources of breed,
ing stock, write to the Ontario Department of Agri-
culture, Clinton.
