Mrs. J. C. Stoltz spent the weekend
in Toronto. We are sorry to report

ient in a Toronto hospital,
Mrs. Lemp and two children of
Hamilton, are visiting the lady's par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wagner.
A very pleasant time was spent

the Wagner family held a reunion.
The afternoon was pleasantly spent

USS. Trucks Travelling
On Ontario Highways
American trucks carrying bonded war
materials through this country will ` begin
rolling across the border at Windsor and
Sarnia, on Sunday, according to rumors
in railwayald trucking circles.
It is expected that two routes will be
used through this country -,.some trucks.
from the border at Windsor going on No
3 Highway, through St; Thomas; others
from both. Sarnia and Windsor coming
through London on No 2. and 22. high-
ways. While the traffic is expected to be
heavy as yet no definite estimate can be

Huron County National War Finance
Committee that there is not one of
the entire eountyl organization re-
ceiving any remuneration whatso-
ever not even for travelling expenses,
All this is entirely voluntary with
the •exception of a small remunera-
tion being paid to an all time secre-
tary .and a part-time stenog-
rapher. No merchant • or salesman
receives one cert of commission in
connection with the sale of War Sav-
ings Stamps and Certificates. Hop-
ing this will clear up any misunder-
standing as to saie!ries-and commis-
sions being paid this organization.
