'Monday was a busy- day in our' vil-
lagea with the nomination meeting on.
One of the largest crowds gathered
that have been out for some years as
there is a very exciting contest on this

and the new aspirants for office told,

Reeve Ginn gave a resume of the
work of the year, also dealing with
the work of the county council. Reeve
Ginn is retiring owing -to his intended
,removal to Goderich:

Mrs. A. J. Courtite passed away
yesterday afternoon after about a
weelt's illness from pneumonia, Iter
death was most unexpected, up, to a
few days before the end, and it canoe
as a shock to many. The funeral
takes place on Friday afternoon, the
service to commence in the church at
half after one o'clock. Interment
will take place in Goderich cemetery.
