The Thanksgivinganniversary ser-
vices of Londesboro ' United church
were a success. Mr. Tufts of Kirkton
preached two :thoughtful and eloquent
sernnons. The choir excelled them-
selves, Mrs. B: Shell sang two beauti-
ful solos. On Monday., evening the
goose supper attracted a large atten-
dance. The feast' maintained its high
reputation, both in quality and quan-
tity. The. church` was packed and
listened to a real musical and literary
programgiven by the Royalite I+oti`r
of London.
Ma. Sampson. and ']Miss Susie of
Palmerston renewed 'old acquaint -
maces here on Monday.

Class paid a surprise visit to Mr. and

evening. The time passed pleasantly
in games, music, contests :and speeen-

Considrable interest is being mani-
fested iii the ' introduction on the
Stratford division of the C. N. I . of
the oil electric type of ear, one of
which has been in use for some time
on the Guelph -Hamilton run, and has
proved to. be an unqualified success
Another ane of these cars was given
a test recently between '`Strat-
ford and Southampton, and 1t
will ..be used regularly on that run,
replacing the steam train.
