The funeral of the late Miss Mar--
garet Rutledge took place to Goder-
ich :cerhetery on Saturday last, a num-
ber of her•. old friends from here-
abouts going up to the funeral. t'fiss
Rutledge, who ° had been residing in
Toronto forst some time poet, was op-
erated upon "about three weeks ago
for appendicitis and from the first
her .condition : was considered very
critical. She 'lived, however, until
early last Saturday .morning. She
was the last member of the faniiltv',of
the Tato Joseph Rutledge, and was
born it the farm on 'tie Huron road.
The `remains were brought to Geder-`
ich'and interred in the family plot in
Maitland cemetery.
M'olinesville church held'- their an-
nual banquet in the basement of the
church on Wednesday," evening last.
Besides the reading of, the.reports
from the different organizations of
the church a short program, was giv-
en. ltev. A. V. Walden 'acted ° as
chairman. Readings were' given -by
Miss Gaiter, Mrs. T. Campbell and
Mo: Sehwantzp solo' by, Mr. Fred Pot-
ter, duet by Miss Elva Proctor and:
Mr: Will Yeo;,; a quartette by Mr. and
Mrs. Lo1)b, Mrs L. Jervis and Mr.
Will Yeo and a duet by Mr. and
Mrs. Haward`Trewartha. Q, vote of
thanks was then tendered to the two
organists, Mrs. Will " Yeo and Miss
Marion Cudmore, for their valuable
services during the year. Later a
dainty lunch was segyed.
