The Hallowe'en social under the
auspices of the Y.P.S.:held in. the
basement of St. Andrew's church on-
Friday
riFriday last was quite a success. The
guests ,were met at the door by a
ghost, who, required' them to 'take a
vow to the effect that they. would do
their parts to make the evening.en-
joyable. They were then' requested
to follow a rope 'which eventually led
to the vestry,' where they were suet
by another etherial figure, who led
'thein into the room where the fun
was. A witch in a booth in one eor-
ner. told the fortunes of those ;yho,
wished to know the -future and then
there ,were . the usual ;Hallowe'en
games, catching ,apples, etc. after
which was a singing contest. Each
one present was given a alip of paper
with the line of a song and then each
group 'which had the lines to ging a
song sang it. After this there were
two other contests and then refresh-
ments were served and; the guests
dispersed after singing the National
.Anthem, all feeling that they really
had enjoyed • a very pleasant even-
