M. Harry Shaw, who has been tak-
ing a post -graduate in England,
has returned home. Mr, ' Shaw
visited several of the countries •on
the Continent and spent a.most int-

and Captain Thomas Morgan
of Clinton were among those who
attended the unveiling of the. sole
diens' memorial at Winghatn on
Tuesday afternoon.
Messrs. Fred Match and Morgan Ag-
new assisted the Winghatn band at
the unveiling at that town, op Tees
,.,day afternoon, the former: blowing
the Last Post, the latter the Re-
veille, during the ceremonies.
Misses Jean and Mary Chidley ro-
turned on Tuesday to Toronto after
spending their vacation at their
home in.town. They were a0eo111
panied by their brother, Master Bill
Jackson, who will spend a week in
the city, ,
Mr. and Mrs, James A. Haber of
Detroit, Mich., who have been the
guests of. the latter's parents, Mr.
and Mrs, Thos. Mason, returned to

September as their guests.
Miss Nellie Medd of Exeter visited at
Wesley Parsonage and at Mr. J.
G. Medd's on ,her way home from
a motor trip " to Niagara Falls,
which she took with some friends

pewa and -Guelph, Miss Medd was
accompanied by her niece, Miss,

and two children returned Monday
from a fortnight's motor trip, They
'Tent east to Ottawa, spentseveral
days on the Rideau and ,camped at
various places enroute. They did
some fishing, as a holiday without
fishing would be no holiday to Mr.
Cuninghame, and thoroughly _ ens
joyed their two weeks in the open.

for the past few months, and Mrs.
D, Munro, who accompanied thein,
left last week for their home at
Rosetown, Sask. They were ac-
companied by Miss Livingstone of
