Carroll, I.C., who seconded the vote for Mr. Liiiklater's appointment 36 years ago.—The Globe, Mr, Linklater was formerly on the teaching staff of .Clihton public school, and is a native of East Wawanoah. Mr. 'Race established the Mitchell Recorder forty-nine years ago. He sold that in 1905. ' In 1904 he was appointed Canadian Exhibition Com- missioner and had charge of Canada's exhibits at several World's"Fairs.
