Church spent a pleasant evening at
the home of Dr. C. A,-l3owson. The
special feature of the evening was a
presentation to' Miss Winnie Howson,
who has been the organist since the
opening of the church. ' The .address,
as follows was read by Mrs. Wm.
Marsh, and the gift presented by Mrs.
John McKnight:
"Dear Winnie: We have planned a
little surprise for you by gathering
at your home this evening. Since
the opening pf our church in Decent -
bey 1908, you have been `our faith-
ful and most: efient organist Nearly
every Sunday finds you at you place
in the church. You and your mo-
ther have given your untiring services
freely for the good of our church,
which shows your unselfish and Chris_
tiara character:. In behalf of the
choir they have always found you
pleasant and agreeable to deal with
the diflicultiei and perplexities which
come along your way. During the
sixteen years you have been our or-
ganist your chair has seldom been va-
cant, except for a good_ cause. Now
we wish to express our sincere appre-
eiation in some way more than mere
words, so wish you to accept this sil-
ver tea service, Pyrex casserole and
pie server, os a mere token for the
Faithful and painstaking services ren-
dered to us. Our most sincere and
hearty wish is that you may remain
