• 'The Hamilton Herald pointsout
that Mr. Meighen in his speech on
the address was not nearly so caustic
as he usually is, The Brantford Ex-
positor notes, however, that although.
Mr: Meighen gave utterance tosome
important truths his style was too
caustic to be -effective. Mr,iMeighen
does not seem to have satisfied every-

SIMCOE WANTS INFORMATION
The following letter was recently
received by Mrs. Trewartha, president
of the I-Iospitel Association: ;
'Simcoe, Feb. 26th, 1924
"President of Hospital Board, Clin-
ton, Ontario, , Dear Madam: As sed -
rotary of a Committee appointed by
our local council to. look into the.ad-
visability of erecting a hospital, I am
endeavoring to gather as much infor-
mation`as possible in this matter, and
was wondering if you would mind
helping me in this respect.
I notice from the Inspector of Hos-
pitals report. for' 'Ontario that you
have been operating very successfully
and would appreciate if you could ad-
vise. what, 'in your estimation, is the
key of your success, compared to
other hospitals that seem to be ,run;
ping against heavy deficits.
Is your 'building a newrouilding spe-
cially built' for hospital work? What
is the staff you employ and the ato'
you charge? In your estimation, is
it practicable to have a hospital of 20
beds self sustaining, and what are the
important essentials. to makethis
possible?
Thanking youfor
„your courtesy in
forwarding me this information at
your'earliest convenience, I a;:n,—
Yours sincerely, IT. M. Jackson, Sec -
