The late Seines Scott, who ,passed
away. at the home of his daughter,
Mra. McNally of Goderich, was born
in Ireland 95 years ago. he came to
Canada with his. parents at an early
ago, settling near Prescott. He moved
to Huron sixty years ago. He farm-
ed on the 8th concession of Colborne
about 3 miles from Aulhirn or some
years, later moving to Port Albert
Mr. Scott was Married in '1870 to Ag-
nes Old, who, together with. Mrs. Me.
Nally and one son, Robert Scott of
Auhbre turvive. The deceased who
was always a keen bible student, eves
in his early life connected with the
Auburn,i'resbyterian church and took,
a prominent part in the erection of the
church. The funeral was held on
Sunday afternoon to Colborne ceme.

quarters come • stories 'of snowdrifts

there are plenty of these in this eom-
munity there is a drift on the farm
of Peter Regan,' on the eighth con-
nesien of Logan, that coveys his
windmill, which ie' 40 feet high. In

the windmill, and it is blocked so that
it will net pump water. In many Or-
chards the snow is right up to tho
