council advertise for tenders tor snow
plowing for the., winter of 1927.28,.

On motion of Councillors Paisley
and Curren -a grant of $25.00 was
voted the -Children's Aid Society.
Councillors Holnias and Livermore
made' the following 'snotioii, which
was carried:

any macadam or paved street. No
cinders or refuse be placed on any
street when snovv-is on the ground.
No material of ''any kind be piled on
the street', That clean cinders, free
from all material that may be "da

street % committee. That citizens be
informed' of penalties provided by
statute for violation of above pro-

Couneillor . Livermore. spoke of the
way the rest -room, is being abused by
school children and other young folk.
1Vfayor Jackson agreed that it was a

the people for: whom it was originally
opened, 'but .youngsters of town, who
write' on the wall, break the furniture
and generally wreck things.. "But
why are boysallowed in the room?"
asked Councillor Holmes. . "Oh, it
isn't boys who do the damage," re-
plied the mayor. "It is girls. Some-
thing will have to be done to stop it."

oculated -by the .doctor for prevention
of scarlet fever.

Winter Fair in Guelph this week.
The annual Christmas tree and en-
tertainment will be heldin the school
room of the United church on Dec.
23rd at eight o'clock. A good pro -
grain will be' given by the S. S. schol-

Scott and family' and Mr, H. Dal-
tymple and family are glad to see
hem out of quarantine - after being
shut in with scarlet fever for six
weeks.
