There are people who opine, and
predict that the Christmas Card on
account of its long usage will become
a thing of the past, Assuredly this
will, not arrive until people loose
every' Particle' of love, friendship,
gratitude, sympathy, admiration arcd
every other emotion that makes the
total of their daily thoughts,' ,and
then it wont matter: They are re-
minders of gracious thoughts: that
years nor distance cannot dim, hence
the desire, the seeking, the searching
for the' right thing- to represent
themselves- and express their senti-
ment:. We have a new line this year
away from the ordinary, the hack-
neyed, the all -alike varieties. They
meet the current and changing ideas
and ideals. If you choose personal
cards • en which your name anduird
dress has been printed, they are re-
cognized among people of good taste
as the appropriate, the individual way
to express one's greetings.. We have:
a sample book affording a liberal
choice in style and'"'' treatment, that
will represent you worthily, They
are personal and intimate,` consequent-
.ly refined and desirable, making your
salutation 'elese1y • connected with
Your friend and pleasingly exclusive
to the sender. Supplied inquantities
of twelve and 'upwards. 'Prices from'.

Long, long ago,the story books
say, there lived a King. who Ipolced
for the rarest gifts in the world and
when all was laid before .him he
chose as the greatest of all the gift
of thoughtfulness, because three -fold
great -it was gracious, distinctive,
inspired. .A Personal Card lets the
received know your thoughtfulness. •

CAR -,TURNS OYER,.
Mr. Loren Tyndall met with an ac-
cident on Saturday from which he
escaped very fortunately, although he.
received several painful bruises when
his :car turned..over into a ditch as
he was driving along the Bronson,
line, Stanley; pinning him tine& it.
no was imprisoned until he was ex-
tricated by Mr. and Mrs. Carnie; near
whose home the accident happened.._,
Mr. Tyndall: was driving, down a
rather steep' hill on .the. Bronson, and
had reached the bottom, where the
road was .narrow, , and= -had just` re-
moved his foot from the brakes and
was putting on, some gas to carry him
up the opposite hill when his car sud-
denly swerved and_ran aver the steep
embankment,' turning completely over
and settlingon its top in the bottom-
of the ditch. Mr. Tyndall was"huddied
in the front seat, and was kept from
being crushed by the hack of the
seat and the smashed top. He could
open "a door at one side but not far
enough to crawl out. A little girl who
had seen the accident gave the alarm
and Mr. and:. Mrs. Carne arrived as
quickly as possible,; and. were very
much relieved' to find the occupant
alive and able to talk with them. By
raising the bulk of the car a little
and opening the other' door, Mi. and
Mrs: Carrie released- Mr. Tyndalll,
who was able to back out of his
prison.
Mr. Tyndall sustained some hzui
bruises but no hones were broken.
with the exception of, a couple of
cracked ribs. and it ishoped no ser-
ious damage was done, although it
will be some time before he is feel-
ing like himself again. lie feels ,,that
he escaped almost miraculously from
,very serious, injury or instant death,
The car. which was towed into Clin-
ton:on. Monday, is almost a complete
