ing, at which there was a targe at-
tendance of both ladies and :gentle-
men. The president, Mrs. Wallace
Archibald, presided and made a few
remarks after the program had

the Lions International, Harry New-
man. was a special feature of the
evening. The speaker dealt largely
with the work of Lionism in a very
able and eloquent manner, at the con-
clusion of Which a very hearty vote
of thanks was moved by Dr. G,• Mc-
Kay and Dr. ' P. J. Burrows. The
snnirptuous repast provided by the
ladies of Northside church was.great-
ly enjoyed and: appreciated by the,
Lions,who voted it the best banquet
yet.
DUNGANNON: A recent event of.
much interest was the farewell pres-
entation to Mr. and . Mrs. John A.
Greer, of Port Albert, when a large
number of friends and neighbors
gathered at their home to bid them
God speed ere their departure for
their new home in Detroit. The ev-
ening was pleasantly spent in cards
and music, and just before luncheon,
the following address was r`'ded by
