The following item from the Walk-
erton Telescope refers to a• son of the
Rev, D. N. and ,Mrs, alfeCamus now of
London but foimstly of Clinton, Mr.
MeCamos having been for a tem pas-
tor of the Wesley: Medrodist church,
Mr. Will McCue:us, whose marriage
took place recently: "Last Thursday
evening a number of the friends of
Mr. and Mrs. W. R. McCamus surpris,
ed them at their home and expressed
best wishes for many year S of happy
married life. The associates of the
High School Principal and his wife,
in the choir and -Sunday iSchool of St.
Pahl's United Church; waited. upon
them and made a presentation in the
form of a Windsor chair. Mr. P. W.
Rider, choirmaster and organist, and
Mr. F. R. Dobson, assistant super-
intendent of the school, expressed the
kindly feelings of those who combin-
ed in the presentation, which was

Quite an interesting "event took
place at the river on Tuesday after-
noon of last week when the boat
owned by Louis McLeod and built by
himself and his brother during the
winter was launched. A number of
citizens gathered to witness the
christening. The boat, which is very
trim and neatfwas beautifully dec-
orated with various flags sand on her
• bow was purple heather and ribbons
of the McLeod tartan, With due
ceremony she received the name of
"Helen McLeod II." when Dr. New-
ton -Brady broke the bottle of wine
