boy, son of Wm. Martin, was struck
and killed by a passing car opposite -

pposite•1•i; father's fame. The truck of Mr.
Batt WAS„on its. rounds gathering
cream and was was ;coming out on to the
road. The children of Mr. Martin had
come down to the road to close the
gate, The little Ilyoy, 5 years of age,
was running along the side of the
slowly moving truck and "darted out
on the road not seeinga car coming.
There was eo time -to shop the car be-
fore the boy -was struck. It was ale -
patently just one of 'those: inose er-
grettable incidents in which appar-
ently no one was to blame. The fun-
eral took place on Tuesday' and the
sympathy of the; whole community
goes out to the parents who have lost
their only boy.
