Rorke ' spent from Friday until
Tuesday evening in Toronto with
their daughters.

in Montreal for the wedding of
their son, Mr. George McTaggart,
on Saturday last.
Mr: and Mrs. A. L. Cartwright and
Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Mustard and
son are in Toronto this week- tak-
ing in thetoyal Waster Fair.
Mrs. R. Scruton, Mrs. J.' Fick, Miss
Fern Fick and Mr. G. Resell of
Tort Bulwell spent the week -end
as the guests 'of Mr. and Mrs: Ed.
Sermton.
Mrs, Kells, who has spent the sum-
mer *with her daughter, Mfrs. E. W.
Morrison, has' gone to Drayton to
visit another daughter, Mrs.

attending the Royal Winter Fair
in Toronto,

Misses Lindsay of Luelmow, who

ple of weeks as the guests of their

Langton on. Friday last owing" to

Mrs. Hutchings. Mr: Hall returned
on Monday, Mrs. Hall remaining

bate "Resolved, that the End, justi-
fies the Means," was won by the
negative side upheld. AY Margaret

firmative' was taken by William
Sutherland and Dorothy Allen. A
dance .by the junior students : was
well given., A humorous skit by D.
Egner: was heartily enjoyed and
brought peals of'"laughter. Delight:
IVlutch, honorary 'president of the
society, spoke briefly. >•A vocal duet
by Ruth Bunt and 2. 'Fisher was
heartily encored. The time honored
G. C. L Journal, was read by Victor
Elliott. The jokes were original and
the students showed hearty apprec-
iation by their applause. 'A mock
trial by a number •,di boys was well
presented and showed careful pre-
paration. The very interesting pro.-
gram
ro-gram was closed by the, singing of
the National Anthema.
