Miss Helen Quigley, who has been
spending a short vacation with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. Quigley, re-
turned on Monday to Windsor where
. she is a nurse -in -training at Hotel
Dieu Hospital.
Mrs. lean (Taylor) Roy, wife of
Mr. W. V. Roy, of the ;9th concession,
passed away in the Clinton Public
. Hospital on Friday after a short ill-
ness. Mrs. Roy, who was but thirty-
four years of age, was born in Eng-
land, the family coming to Canada and

married to her now bereft husband in
1919, She is also survived by...three
• small children aged four, three and
one and a half years. Two brothers
also survive: Jaynes of Hamilton and
Ernest of Detroit.
The funeral took place on Saturday
afternoon, a short private service be-
ing held at the house, followed by a
service in Si.'I'apl's church, :Clinton.-
interment being made in Clinton cern
etery. The services at house, church
and 'graveside were conducted by the
Rev. L, C, ilarrison. There, were
many lovely floral.tributee sent by
sympathizing friends:

French'gown of Bisque lace over can-
ton crepe, with , shoes and hose to
match. Miss Alberta ltioon; as brides-
maid, wore a gown of green crepe ro--
maine, Tho groom.was supported by
Mir. Fred Armstrong. The groom's
gift to the bride was a rope of pearls
to the bridesmaid, a platinumbarpin,
set wth saphires and to the grooms-
man gold cuff links. Immediately af-
ter the ceremony they repaired to the..
'home of the bride's _parents, where a
dainty luncheon was served to about
forty guests, after which the happy
couple left amid showers of confetti
and good wishes for an extended Vis-
it to Granton; Jarvis and Streetsville
returning :by Toronto. and Hamilton.
The bride was the -recipient of many
beautiful and handsome gifts. The
young couple 'will 'reside on the
groom's farm two miles east of Lead -
bury. Their many friends wish them
years- of happy married life.
