Mog ridge, at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 12th, when their younger daughter, Edith Annie, was united"in marriage to Mr. James Gormley Thompson, son of Mr, and Mrs, W. J. Thompson also of Auburn. The eerem'ony was per- formed -by Rev. W. R, Alp. The bride was charmingly attired in white georgette, with veil and carried a bouquet of Butterfly roses and maiden hair fern, There were no at- tendants. .Miss Winnie Marsh play- ed phe lay-ed,the wedding march and during the signing of the register Mrs. Alp sang "0 Promise Me," Afterwards the guests, numbering about forty, sat down to a sumptuous wedding re- past. The house decoration was of sweet peas and gladioli. Later the young couple left by motor for Tor- onto. The bride's going away cos- tume was of sand and brown, with fox .fur, and hat to match. Many beautiful gifts testified to the esteem which thebride and groom are held. Mite and Ates.
