There passed away; in Clinton on
M,ayillth an old resident of Stanley
township in the person of John Orr
in his 55th year. Mr. Orr had been
failing -hs health for some time. The
remains were brought to Bayfield and
the, funeral took place from the home
of his niece, Mks. 'Walter" Westlake,,
on Sunday afternoon. Services at the
house and graveside- were conducted
by the Rev. G. M. Gale, pastor of the
United churph, Bayfield. The pall-
bearers were Alfred rand 'Plies. West-
lake Harold Stinson, Paul Cleave,
Carl Huston and Robt. Penhale. •
The marriage was solemnized on
May 12th: at the home: of Mr. and Mrs.
David John Stephenson,. Goshen line,
of their youngest daughter, Clare Al-
ice, who -became the ?bride of Percival
W. J. Johnston, eldest son of Mr. and
Mrs. J. Wellington Johnston; The
ceremony was 'perfor)ned by Rev. 3,
W. Penrose of Varna:. United Church;
The bride, who was given away by,
her father, wore a -handsome wedding
gown• of georgette and lace, 'and car-
ried 'a bouquet of roses, Moss Mar.-
garet' Johnston, sister: of the groom;
wasbridesmaid and the groomsman.

eight guests and afterveards Mr. and
Mrs. Johnston' left qn a honeymoon
trip by motor to Detroit, Toronto and
other paints. The bride travelled in
