Holmesville
Although, Easter Sunday proved
stormy a faiiiry> large audience at-
tended the W. M. S. thankof£ering
service, in the- United churih last
Sabbath morning. The pastor deliv-
ered ;the 'Easter missionary address, 'a
group of eight, small :girls gave an
exercise, "Nature's Message," a W.
M. S. ehoir rendered three musical
selections •arid fotur senior girls, each
beating a white cross, recited,' "My
Cross!". The flower ;committee had
snitably decorated the church with
daffodils and roses winch gave a very
cheerful appearance :to the interior,
in bontrast'to the storm out side.'
The date of the Minstrel Show, to
be given by Brucefield talent, has
been changed 'from Tuesday the.l0th
to Tuesday the 17th •
The cheese and butter factory re-
opened for business on Monday
morning. Messrs: Howard Mulhol-
land and Will Jervis are busily en-
gaged in unloading a load of coal at
Clinton and trucking it to Holmesvillc
factory.
The Ladies Aid and W. M. S. are
holding their respective meetings at
the home of Mrs. J. Cudmore on Wed•
nesday afternoon, Mrs, A. Jervis and
Miss Emily Proctor being the host.
