J. A. Cooper, brother of Mr. A. T. Cooper of town, mat with a most regrettable accident at Re- gina on Sunday evening when he had his foot crushed by a train, necessi- tating the amputation ,of a part of it.. 'Cot. - Cooper and'•a friend had left the train; which was stopping at'Re- gina for twenty minutes or so, and on returning fotfnd- the train on the move.' Although the attendance Was no/' dirge, not nearly so large as is usual at. an annual meeting' the interest manifested was gratifying to those who have kept the "home fires burn- ing" at the hospital during the past year, and the' reports ,presented by the several officers Were exceedingly encouraging. :'The president, 1Yfrs.
