THE FAIR IS ON
The Hospital Fair is on, opening
in 'the town hall yestel'day. Up-
stairs is the antique show: where
many things of interestare nn display
'furniture; elething,'chinawate,'
turet, books, guns, fosse's,' etc., a.
visit to this department is well
worth while.
The several booths are presided
over' by members of the board, many
of them being in costume. The Or-
iental booth has a scruple of Japanese•
ladies in oharge; and other ladies
are , wearing quaint, old-fashioned
costumes of long ago. i

Elephant sale is being cairieri on•
where almost everything can be had

did in a neat speech. Mrs. Morgan

This evening another prr,grant will
be put on and tomorrow, Friday, a
baking sale will also be conducted in

drawing for the hope chest and the
other prizes will take place.

DEATH OF CHURCHMAN
News of the sudden death of
Archbishop Williams, head of the
Diocese of Huron and Metropolitan
of Ontario, 'came as a shock to his
friends througitout the diocese on

The Archbishop was to have been
