A pretty Easter wedding took
place at, high noon, Saturday, April
4th, at Side -Brook Farm, Varna,
when Florence Catharine, second
daughter • of Mr. and Mrs. J. W.
Johnston, was united in marriage to
Melvin L. Webster, yonngest son of
Mr. and Mrs, Robt. D. Webster,.
Rev. E. A, Poulter performed the
ceremony,
The bride, who was given' iri mar-
riage by her father,, was attractively
gowned in shell pink georgette,
trimmed with radium lace, with bri-
dal veil and carrying a bouquet of
aphelia roses and maiden hair fern.
Her bridesmaid, Miss Rena E.
Johnston, R.N., of Stratford was
dressed in orchid satin and carried
yellow daffodils. The bridegroom
was " attended by his brother, Mr.
Watson Webster. The wedding mu-
sic was played by Miss Eleanor Ev-
ans of Seaforth. After• the ceremony
the guests repaired to the dining
loom," where a wedding dinner was
served,by two of , -the bride's • girl
friends, Miss Blanche Taylor and
Miss Jean Foster. •
The bridegroom's 'gift to the bride
was a cabinet of silver, to the brides-
maid a silver pendant, to the grooms-
man, cuff links, and: to the pianist a
4anity ease.
The happy young couple left, amid
"showers of good wishes, for a trip to
Toronto and Buffalo. The bride
travelled in guardsman blue costume
with grey accessories. On their re-
turn they will reside on the groom's
farm near Varna.
